The Storehouse is Growing!

Expansion Campus Live Updates | 2025-2027

Welcome to our official project update page for The Storehouse’s second campus, located at 2855 Trinity Square, Carrollton, TX 75006! This expansion is part of our long-term vision to serve more neighbors with greater accessibility, dignity, and space. Here’s everything you need to know.

Why This Location?

We selected this site with intention, rooted in proximity to the neighbors we serve and the potential it gives us to grow sustainably:

NEIGHBOR-CENTERED

  • Located in ZIP code 75006, consistently one of our top three most-served areas

  • One block south of 75287, our largest ZIP code served by a wide margin

  • 85% of neighbors who visit The Storehouse live south of President George Bush Turnpike—this puts us right in the heart of their communities

  • Easy access from Trinity Mills, Marsh, and President George Bush Turnpike

ADDRESSES IMMEDIATE NEEDS

  • The expansion campus is 31,000 square feetnearly 8 times our current space.

  • Two buildings, 15,000+ square feet each

  • One building available now for renovation and occupancy; Second building becomes available in May 2027, allowing for phased, debt-free growth as funding allows

  • ~100 parking spaces in current configuration

ROOM FOR GROWTH

  • Built in 1985, well-maintained, and ready for adaptive reuse

  • Open warehouse + office mix makes the space highly customizable

  • Flat roofs, supporting future upward expansion options

  • Second building provides opportunities for continued innovation to meet evolving needs of the neighbors we serve

Joseph’s Coat at the Christiansen Family Campus: One Year of Impact

Since relocating as the first program to occupy our expansion campus, Joseph’s Coat has further elevated the neighbor experience beyond transactional assistance to a dignified, boutique-style environment that restores personal agency and comfort.

Highlights from the Past Year:

  • Expanded Hours & Capacity:  We increased shopping availability to three days a week (Monday–Wednesday) and lengthened appointments from the previous 20-minute time limit. Now, on average, neighbors spend 50 minutes per appointment, and we have plans to expand to an additional service day soon.

  • A Dignified Boutique Setting: Complete with fitting rooms and spacious displays, neighbors experience a welcoming, low-stress environment that many describe as feeling like a retail department store.

  • Growing Community Reach: Maintained an appointment show rate exceeding 70% since opening, with first-time visitors accounting for approximately 30% of all visits in 2026.

  • Optimized Volunteer & Sorting Facilities: Added nearly 2,000 square feet of climate-controlled warehouse space, allowing our team to efficiently process donations and store off-season inventory like winter coats.
