The Storehouse of Collin County | 10th Anniversary

The Storehouse is turning 10 this May! Watch the video below to see how our story began, and how we plan to celebrate this special milestone:

Our Theme: "Love Your Neighbor"

Since we first opened our doors on May 14, 2009, the mission of The Storehouse has been fueled by one purpose: to love our neighbors as ourselves.

We started by feeding one family and from there expanded to two other programs that provide clothing, and holistic care to help our neighbors heal, grow, and thrive!

As we continue to grow as an organization meeting the needs of our community and transforming our neighborhood, we know that all this was made possible because of the commitment and generosity of St. Andrew United Methodist Church every step of the way.

May 2019 - May 2020

On May 14, 2009, we opened our doors at Seven Loaves Food Pantry to one family on the campus of St. Andrew United Methodist Church.

We've grown exponentially since then. Read more about our history below.

We continue to increase our impact in the community daily. Under the leadership of our Board of Directors and Executive Director Candace Winslow, The Storehouse strives to serve our neighbors with excellence.

Learn more about our how you can be a part of our next decade below!

Later in the fall of 2019, The Storehouse will be opening its doors to a new, dedicated space for our neighbors. We aim to transform more lives as we go into the next ten years.

Stay tuned for information on how you can help us build for the future.

Our New Space: Open February 13

As part of our 10th Anniversary festivities, we will be moving into our dedicated service space once construction is completed in the fall of 2019. In the fall, we'll be scheduling tours for volunteers, sponsors, and groups who are interested in viewing our new space. Most importantly, we are excited about the opportunities to serve more of our neighbors and to serve them better!

A Decade of Stories: Inspire Others

We're working on creating an archive of meaningful stories from our first decade. Have a story about:

  • ...the early days of The Storehouse (Common Unity) and how things were "back then?"
  • you felt inspired to begin volunteering?
  • experience (or experiences) that encouraged you to keep coming back as a volunteer?
  • The Storehouse has made a difference in your life?

Share your story with us by emailing our Director of Communications, Ben Skye:
