The Need is Rising. You Can Help Flatten the Curve.
As we practiced social distancing to flatten the curve of COVID-19's spread, another curve is rising... and spiking.
Since shelter-in-place was instituted on March 13, our food pantry numbers have climbed steadily: 309 families in the first week, 348 in the second, and 555 in the third.
The Storehouse is participating in the North Texas Giving Tuesday Now campaign on May 5 to raise funds for our response to the COVID-19 crisis.
Your gift to The Storehouse will address the rising food needs of our community during COVID-19 and beyond. Help us flatten this second curve. Early Giving begins today, April 14.
We Must Respond As One (Growing) Community.
The rising curve representing the needs of our neighbors demands an equally powerful response from our community.
As part of The Storehouse North Texas Giving Tuesday Now campaign, we are challenging you to rise up and match the needs by helping us spread awareness to your circle of friends and family.
Your story of volunteering and the difference you make in the lives of neighbors can inspire others to join our community of helpers. Volunteer virtually by creating a fundraising page that shares your personal Storehouse experience and spreads awareness that $1 provides 3 meals to our neighbors.

"Normal" Is Not The Same For Everyone.
As our cities begin to reopen and we emerge from sheltering-in-place, many of us are eager to return to "normal" after COVID-19. For many of us, COVID-19 has been a temporary inconvenience. But for many of our neighbors, COVID-19 has brought life-altering consequences.
Many people won't have a "normal" to return to because of unemployment, debt, or stress over food, clothing, and other basic needs. And for some, their "normal" before COVID-19 was not good enough to begin with.
The Storehouse has focused primarily on the "feed" aspect of our mission during COVID-19. We know that we will be called to carry out the fullness of our mission to "feed, clothe, and care as neighbors in one community" in the days ahead.
Your generous gifts on North Texas Giving Tuesday Now will allow us to be a conduit of care for our neighbors' needs. Donate today and help us prepare for the echo crisis ahead.
What is North Texas Giving Tuesday Now?
In concert with the global #GivingTuesdayNow campaign, Communities Foundation of Texas' North Texas Giving Day, the Dallas Cowboys, and the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas have teamed up to organize a day of giving to raise emergency funds for nonprofits across Dallas-Fort Worth responding to the COVID-19 crisis.
On Tuesday, May 5 from 6 a.m. to midnight, individuals can give on North Texas Giving Tuesday Now to support The Storehouse of Collin County. Early Giving starts on April 14 and will be open through May 4.

Volunteer Virtually: Toolkit
While we are still sheltered in place and practicing safe social distancing, The Storehouse team recognizes just how vital our volunteers are to our mission of feeding, clothing, and caring as neighbors in one community.
That's why we are asking you to volunteer virtually during this time. Here's how you can help:
1. Share our weekly emails with your network. Tell them about the work we are doing during the COVID-19 crisis. You can also add the #NorthTexasGivingTuesdayNow banner to your email signature! Download the file below.
2. Help us by sharing posts from our social. Are you a social media user? We want you! We will also send you art/photos for you to share and tag us in! We need everyone in our community to meet the rising needs!
3. Create a FUNdraising page. This page lets you share why you serve at The Storehouse and challenges your circle of family and friends to give to our mission! Our Director of Communications, Ben, will be leading a Facebook Live tutorial on how to set up a FUNDRAISING page on Thursday, April 23.
